On Wednesday we finally received the confirmation we all expected, with the announcement that the 2019-20 season, would be curtailed with immediate effect, for clubs at steps 3 to 6 of the football pyramid, obviously we are all disappointed that another season has been cut short ,but it is important to remember the bigger picture with the loss of lives, and the number of businesses that this awful pandemic has impacted on.
I would like to thank all our volunteers, sponsors, advertisers ,supporters, players and management throughout the club for the tremendous effort they all played in getting the season started from July to October.
We are hoping that our Under 18 teams will be able to finish their season from April as they only have a few games to play.
Looking towards the future I can assure you we will working tirelessly in the coming months, to make sure we are ready for the start of the new season, and hopefully our partnership with our sponsors Eco-Power Environmental Ltd will ensure an bright future for the club and supporters alike
We are aware that our ever increasing number of season ticket holders, failed to get value for money, as few games were actually played, so with that in mind all tickets purchased this season will be valid for season 2020-21.
I would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding this season and we look forward to seeing you all again soon at the Eco-Power Environmental Stadium, home of The Steels.
We will keep you updated regarding pre – season arrangements as lockdown starts to ease.
