Stocksbridge Park Steels have made Elliott Walker their second signing of the summer.
The 19-year-old right-back has been on trial with the Steels and played in the friendlies against Spennymoor Town and Sheffield Wednesday. He impressed in both of those matches and earned an assist in the Owls friendly by sending in the cross which David Agbontohoma diverted into his own goal. These performances impressed manager Chris Hilton who has now signed him up for the coming season.
Following the completion of the signing, Hilton said: “Elliot is an excellent player with great potential to move up the leagues.
“We look forward to helping in his development.”
Walker came through the Doncaster Rovers academy where he was a regular for them at right-back. He was nominated for the LFE Goal of the Month in April 2019 for a strike against Oldham Athletic you can see below.
After being released by Doncaster, he spent last season with Toolstation Northern Counties East Division One side Rossington Main, where he made 10 appearances. His brother Tyler Walker will be familiar to many non-league fans as he has played for the likes of Boston Town, Armthorpe Welfare and Goole AFC.
