Gareth Curtis signs for Stocksbridge

Stocksbridge Park Steels have signed Gareth Curtis from Sherwood Colliery.

The striker has been one of Sherwood’s top scorers over the last few years. While he had a brief spell away from the club when he joined Eastwood for two months, he has spent most of his time in football by regularly scoring for Sherwood. Last season, he scored 17 goals last season, a highlight of which was when he scored an equaliser against Buxton to force a replay in the FA Cup.

Now, he’ll be joining Stocksbridge and had his first introduction to Stocksbridge fans last night when he played in the second half of the friendly against Handsworth. Fans will be looking forward to seeing Curtis test himself in the Northern Premier League and continue his goalscoring form at this level.
