Leigh Whelan leaves for Guiseley

Leigh Whelan has left Stocksbridge Park Steels and joined Guiseley.

Whelan joined earlier in the season after being at Matlock Town. He has made 11 appearances since coming to Bracken Moor and scored his only goal for the club in the 2-1 win over Consett.

He has impressed during his short time at the club and this has led to interest from other clubs. Whelan has now made the switch to Guiseley where he will join up with the recently appointed manager Paul Phillips.
