Message from Chairman

Tuesday nights game highlighted the character this team consists of to go 2-0 behind in the first half and then put in the performance they did in the second half to take the game to penalties was superb. Stockton are one of the best technical sides we have played this season and we have never looked out of place.

While everyone was disappointed at the end the result shouldn’t detract from what we have achieved this season our high turnover of players in the summer replacing experienced NPL players with young players who had not played at this level before could have been a disaster and at times in the  pre season friendlies I thought we would have a long  hard season in front of us.

Ian and the management team have done an excellent job moulding and improving the squad over the season to keep us in the top five of the division since October. We shouldn’t forget how well we did in the FA cup reaching the third qualifying round for the first time in twenty years taking some notable scalps along he way.

As I said four years ago we are all in this together and one part of this club is no good without the other from committee to players to matchday staff etc so we can all be proud of the way the club as moved forward, I would like to thank you all for your ongoing contributions to what we are trying to achieve. We can sit back and reflect and recharge our batteries for a little while before we go again to take the next step  in our quest.
