Stocksbridge manager Chris Hilton has added Toby Kenyon to the squad and is the first “new ” addition this season. Toby made his home debut this past Saturday against Ramsbottom United. Last season Toby was part of the Owls U18 team that did the double but wasn’t offered a contract by the club.
However Chris was quick to pick up the youngster and is aiming to following in the footsteps of players like Harrison Biggins and Jamie Vardy who have used Stocksbridge to spring board into the professional game
Recently released Sheffield Wednesday under 18s midfielder Toby Kenyon has joined the ranks at Stocksbridge Park Steels.
Toby was in that Sheffield Wednesday under 18s team that did the double last year, He had a few injuries which I think made him miss out on a pro contract. “He’s got a great engine and he’s a great footballer and he fits into exactly how we play. “He’s a young lad who is willing to learn so he ticks every box for us.Hilton told Non League Yorkshire.
