Steels Swoop for Zottos

Stocksbridge Park Steels have captured highly rated  winger 20 year old Basile Zottos from league rivals Liversedge. The Brussels-born 20-year-old came through the ranks at Sheffield Wednesday before being released in summer of 2022 and spending time with Ossett United and Sheffield FC, last season

He was signed in the summer by Ilkeston by their former manager Jamie Ward but was deemed surplus to requirements when they changed boss. He went to Liversedge but failed to settle and that’s when Ian Richards came calling. Basile is cup tied so will be making his debut on Tuesday when we host Grimsby Borough.

A club official said: “Basile’s a young winger who did well at Sheffield last season. He’s someone that can get  up the pitch with the way he manages the ball. He’s sharp and quick and will add another dimension to Ian’s squad”
