Stocksbridge sign Alex Phillipson

Stocksbridge Park Steels have completed the signing of Alex Phillipson from Brighouse Town.

The defender made his Northern Premier League debut as a 16-year-old when he featured for Matlock Town in the NPL Cup. He originally came through the Leeds United youth system. He would then head to Malta to play for Lija Athletic. Phillipson would return in 2023 to sign for Brighouse, where he has made 22 appearances and scored three times.

Phillipson now makes the move from Brighouse to Stocksbridge, following in the footsteps of Jack Tinker, Alex O’Connor and Harry Garman. He could make his debut in Saturday’s home match against Hebburn Town.
