Stocksbridge sign Ify Ofoegbu

Stocksbridge Park Steels have confirmed the signing of Ify Ofoegbu from Ossett United.
The 22-year-old forward started his career at Chesterfield where he played alongside our current striker Luke Rawson. He’d have a loan spell with Sheffield FC before being being released in 2019. Since then, he has played for Wakefield, Tadcaster Albion, Worksop Town, Grantham Town and then Ossett, who he signed for shortly after the appointment of Jas Colliver as manager.
Ofoegbu signs for Stocksbridge following the departure of Gareth Curtis who signed for Clipstone yesterday. He is likely to be involved against his former side Ossett on Tuesday night.
After the signing, Ian Richards said: “I am excited to sign Ify Ofoegby from Ossett. He is the perfect player and character we need at the club.
“He has had experience at a higher level and been a success already at this level. He offers pace, power and directness to our front line, which will compliment the quality we already have in this area.
“Speaking to those who have played and managed him previously, his attitude and commitment are excellent and with being only 22 is going to fit in perfectly in our squad and will grow and develop as a player within the group.”
