Stocksbridge sign Lewis Macaskill

Stocksbridge Park Steels have completed the signing of Lewis Macaskill.

Macaskill has spent the summer on trial with Stocksbridge, impressing fans with his hard work and tenacious pressing. It was the latter that earned him a goal in the game against Step 3 side Belper Town. His performances have done enough to earn him a move to the Steels after completing his move today.

Macaskill had previously played at Clay Cross Town who play in the Central Midlands League. He was one of their best players last season, scoring 32 goals on his way to winning their Player of the Season award.

Macaskill is likely to feature in this Saturday’s match against a Barnsley XI.
