The Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme (SWFCCP) are proud to announce a new partnership with semi-professional football team, Stocksbridge Park Steels FC.
This newly formed alliance will allow players from the SWFCCP Education & Football programme to progress through a clear pathway into joining a semi-professional football club, playing in the step 4 of English football, in the Northern Premier League. Over the course of the year, invitational training sessions and trials will be held, those players who demonstrate the required ability levels will be invited to progress into Stocksbridge Park Steels FC Under 18s, Reserves, or First Team squad. Playing for Stocksbridge Park Steels FC gives players the perfect pathway to forge a successful semi-professional career.
SWFCCP remain committed to providing clear pathways for learners enrolling onto their Education programme. In addition to this new pathway, SWFCCP already have direct routes into the SWFC Academy, providing a professional level pathway for individuals of the highest ability. Away from playing football, SWFCCP also demonstrate clear progressions for their learners with industry recognised Level 3 qualifications, meaning learners can finish their studies and progress straight into industry if University is not their desired next step.
