We provide a warm welcome to everyone connected with Cleethorpes Town FC to the Eco Power Environmental stadium for our penultimate home game of the 2021-22 season. We know today will be one our toughest tests, as Cleethorpes find themselves 3rd and in great form going towards the end of season play offs.
Since our last home game against Brighouse Town, we have had two away draws 1-1 and 0-0 at Tadcaster Albion and Bridlington Town respectively. Our performances were positive in both games, however we didn’t have the cutting edge in the final action to gain all 3 points. The front 3 in both fixtures performed well, however, if Luke Mangham had been available I’m confident we’d have won both games comfortably.
Our aim between now and the end of the season is to finish in the top 8 and build some momentum going into next season. I feel we have made progress on and off the pitch since we started and must continue the upward trend as a club so that we can compete at the right end of this very competitive league. I have already started planning for next season, looking at the pre season programme, retention and recruitment of players and how we can work together to develop the club in the community and beyond.
I thank you for your support today and look forward to you supporting the football club in the future as we aim to work together to keep progressing this great football club forward.
Enjoy the game,
Ian
