Stocksbridge Park Steels have signed striker Tom Whiting from Guiseley.
With injuries and suspensions mounting up for Stocksbridge, the club decided to make the move to sign the young striker. As well as playing for Guiseley, he was a regular feature for Blades Super Draw team Redmires FC where he broke the league record for consecutive hat tricks earlier in the month. He scored his fourth hat trick in a row in Redmires’ 5-0 win over North Oak.
Whiting came on as a substitute in yesterday’s 3-2 loss against Newcastle Town and was almost the hero at the end but his shot was well saved by the Newcastle goalkeeper.
“I’m buzzing to be here! It’s a great club with a big history so I’m very happy to be here.” Tom Whiting
